About Aldeburgh Cinema
Aldeburgh Cinema is owned and operated by Aldeburgh Cinema Ltd, a company set up in the mid 1960s by members of the local community to save it from closure.
In addition to a broad ranging programme of films from around the world, the cinema holds an annual Documentary Festival (Nov) & a Children’s Film Festival (Oct), targeted at schoolchildren & teachers.
There are regular introduced screenings and special events, including live opera & ballet. The cinema seats 253 people and is equipped to a high technical standard, including High Definition Digital projection, Digital Dolby sound, PA system, grand piano and radio microphones.
